This week has been a long week, but successful week My son had his tonsils and wisdom teeth out on Friday. I packed my suitcase well and hauled a machine over the pass to Doernbechers OHSU.
Turns out that I was extremely optimistic about how much I was going to be able to get accomplished in a hotel room with a 12 year old fresh out of surgery, and his Grama. So I got my trapezoids and my half square triangles cut. Got home to my sewing room YAY!!! and used my strip cutter to cut my neutral 2" strips and sub-cut them much more quickly LOL.
Once cut it was time to start sewing....
And pressing & trimming.
And then sewing on the bricks and pressing and stacking.
After all that this is what was left....
Something has been bothering me all weekend since this clue came out. People all over bemoaning the fact that there units did not turn out perfect every time... What happened to giving ourselves grace to not be perfect. I understand then desire to want to be able to do it right. However nobody is perfect and we all have to walk on water while it is frozen or we are swimming. Bonnie herself must trim up her pieces. In this post you can see her squaring down her units HERE.
It's the Holiday's it is the time for giving and receiving so lets all give ourselves some grace. OK I'm getting off my soap box :)
